Liturgy Committee
We give you thanks, O God, we give thanks, and we invoke your name; we declare your wondrous deeds. (Psalm 75)
The Liturgy Committee exists to plan and implement beautiful liturgies with particular attention to liturgical environment, music, participation of the assembly, preaching, etc.
Our activities include planning and implementing celebrations for Sundays and major feast days, RCIA ceremonies, prayer services for Advent, Stations of the Cross during Lent, seasonal Penance Services, peace prayers, etc.
On Thanksgiving we have a special bilingual Mass with a combined Spanish-English choir.
During the Presentation of the Gifts bread and wine are brought forward, as well as donations of food for the poor. Following Mass these food donations are brought to St. Francis Center, Long Beach, where they are distributed to those in need.
